Babywise schedule month 12: for baby around 12 months of age. On this page you’ll find schedules, information on naps, nighttime sleep, and more!
MONTH 12:
Cycle length: 5/5.5 hours
# of cycles: 3
Wake time: 3-3.5 hours or 5.5 hrs
Nap time: 2 naps or 1 nap
MOTN: 0 feedings, 0 wakes
Caroline’s first month as a toddler was filled with lots of experiences. She no longer crawls and is almost running. She is working on getting lots of teeth. Only two are visible, but I can feel several more about to make their appearance.
Her vocabulary knowledge has grown exponentially this month. She understands so much and even cries when we say “no”. She is also attempting to talk more. She doesn’t officially have any words yet other than “mama” and “dada”, but she is well on her way.
Babywise Schedule Month 12
A typical schedule might look like this:
7 am whole milk & solids, 12 pm solids, 4 pm whole milk snack, 5:00 pm solids, 7:30 pm bed
Naps from 10-12 & 2:30-4 or has one nap from 12:30-3
Solid food schedule:
We have settled into a nice routine with Caroline and her milk at this point. She takes a full glass of milk first thing in the morning, and anywhere from 1/3-3/4 of a glass after her afternoon nap. She was not interested in the nighttime milk, so we dropped that very early on in this month.
Her last feeding is dinner (at 5/5:30 pm), and she heads to bed around 7:30 pm. She uses a fork well when eating yogurt (it holds the yogurt on better than a spoon does). She has lost interest in trying to use a fork to pick up solids, but still eats off of it if I put food on the fork and set it down for her to pick up.
Wake time:
Caroline is all walking and no crawling at this point. She is very interested in her flashcards, loves her stuffed animals, exploring outside, and rearranging things in the house.
One of her favorite things to do is dance. We put YouTube videos on the TV and she watches and shakes her butt! She has lots of good moves! She also loves going to the store and pushing the cart. She walks along behind the cart and pushes while I make sure we go in the right direction.
Nap time:
Caroline is on two naps for the most part. She is teething and very tired as a result. At the beginning of this month, her naps were pushed to 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Now, at the end of the month, she is back to her normal nap schedule of 10 am and 2:30 pm. She often wakes early from the first nap, and doesn’t take the second at all, but she get’s good, restful time in her crib.
She is still on two naps, because she can’t make it past 10 am right now without falling asleep. So, even though she isn’t consistently taking the second nap, we are
keeping her on the two nap schedule at the moment.
Nighttime sleeping:
Caroline is still sleeping through the night. Now that she is teething, she is wanting to go to bed earlier some days, and she is also having a tough time falling asleep some days. She gets the job done, however, with no assistance.
She is on Tylenol and Ibuprofen, along with Orajel (at night only). She was also given her first pillow at the start of the new year!
My personal experience-
Caroline is so grown up. She is a beautiful little girl now. She is sweet, kind, thoughtful, smart and curious. She loves the dogs so much, and is really starting to enjoy cuddling with Mama and Daddy. We have actually had some great moments this month just sitting on the couch with her watching football! It is amazing watching her grow up so quickly.
