PARENTING IS EASY...

Mama's Organized Chaos: A Babywise Blog
I had the pleasure of receiving an advance copy of the book,"Parenting is Easy: You're Probably Just Doing It Wrong" by Sara Given. She took typical stock photos of babies, parenting, breastfeeding, etc. that one might find in a magazine or in an advertisement, and has turned them into a hilarious book. It was definitely an enjoyable page turner! I took a few of my favorite pages and decided to show the reality compared to that of the stock photo. Enjoy!

Reality:

Normal people don't sit in fields of flowers to breastfeed, and there is no chance that your hair can stay down and not get pulled, yanked and ripped out of your head. Don't forget you'll get slapped, fingers up your nose, your eye poked at, and your nipple isn't safe from a good bite.

Reality:

Baby is either attached to you at the hip, crying for you, or completely quiet- that concerning quiet where she is obviously destroying something.

Reality:

I never have time to take the pictures that really show the reality. The entire plate of food that seems to get thrown on the floor, or the hands full of yogurt. Just know that in any moment, this plate miiiight just be empty with it's contents on the floor... It's always a possibility!
