Does anyone else ALWAYS use the Nestle Toll House recipe on the back of the chocolate chips? This is the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I’ve ever used! It’s good, so why switch it up? Well, it’s not consistent…at least not for me. I don’t know why, but sometimes I get nice fluffy cookies that are soft and gooey like I like them, and other times I get hard, flat, crispy cookies. I am not a fan of crunchy chocolate chip cookies.
So, when Stonyfield and King Arthur Flour teamed up with a baking challenge, I jumped on board. I am not a baker. I don’t make my own recipes…I follow recipes! LOL! So, while all the food bloggers were busy creating and testing, I was busy finding a new chocolate chip recipe. I knew that yogurt could be used as an egg substitute, so I decided to make egg-less chocolate chip cookies. In place of the eggs would be Stonyfield plain yogurt. And, in place of my regular flour, I was getting to add some high quality organic flour.
Not only did these cookies come out fluffy and gooey and soft and beautiful, my husband LOVED them, and I loved them, and my daughter loved them…you get the idea. They were great!
Here’s the amazing recipe:
For the plain nonfat yogurt, I used Stonyfield Plain Low Fat yogurt.
For the all-purpose flour, I used King Arthur Organic Flour.
Next time, I’ll be doubling this recipe. The cookies were simply gone too quickly! So glad I branched out and tried a new chocolate chip cookie recipe!
